We're also on that cruise. We are flying from Gatwick. Not thinking much about January yet as we are going on NCL Jewel To Canada/New England on October 21st.

Has anyone researched what to do in each port? Any ideas would be welcome.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Elaine, the list of excursions is available on the P&O web site, http://www.pocruiseconnections.co.uk/, go to shore excursions, then Caribbean and select a port of call.

If you also go to Already booked and enter your name and booking reference you will be able to book the excursions on line within 90 days of departure.

We think we will do the following:

Tortola: Escape to Virgin Gorda

Antigua: Helicopter Adveture to Montserrat

St Kitts: Rainforest Adventure

St Lucia: Jeep Trek

St Vincent: Waterfall and Coastal Adventure

Mayreau: Schooner Sailaway

Isla Margherita: Jeep Explorer

Trinidad: Asa Wright

Tobago: Pidgeon Point Beach Break

Barbados: booked a meal at The Cliff

Hope this helps a little

Mike

Thanks Mikey47

Not been on P&O website for a while. On return from Canada must get down to planning for the Caribbean. Will also read the appropriate message boards which are really useful.

Thanks for your help.

Notice you want to do the Jeep Explorer in Isla Margherita; we are also on this cruise, but we did this excursion in February; would recommend it. Also did the schooner sailaway in Mayreau (such a beautiful place) another good one. Can't comment on the others at present. See you on board I expect.

:) I've managed to book the tours on line using the P&O site going to "Already Booked", putting in my booking reference and selecting the tours. The list of tours is then available showing what has been confirmed.

Just received a brochure from P&O describing all the tours for the Caribbean. I have now started researching about the different islands as it is our first time in the Eastern Caribbean. We would like to do some tours independently. Has anyone booked any tours other than the P&O ones?

I've been doing a lot of research into independent tours. We prefer tours with smaller groups than the the large coaches that that the ship offers. You get a more personal service and don't waste time waiting for people. Several of the tours work out significantly cheaper if there are 4 or more so I thought I'd ask people, through the rollcall, if anyone was interested in joining us on any of the tours.

Antigua-Lawrence of Antigua tour to Dockyard area, recommended on these boards.

St Kitts-Greg's Tours Rainforest Tour, 4 hours inc. picnic 45$ each.

St Vincent-Island tour, various options, 6-7 hours, 50$each.

Tobago-Island tour inc. lunch and fee to Argyle Falls, 8-5pm. Quoted 160$ for 2. Presume 4 would be much cheaper.

Anyone interested? I can send website links if necessary.

Elaine

I've posted this on the other thread as well.

Hi Pam & Allen.

The websites for the tours are:

Lawrence of Antigua http://www.antiguanice.com/lawrence_of_antigua/

Greg's Rainforest tour, 45$ each

http://www.gregsafaris.com/HlfDayRFrst.html

Prefer tour 3 or 4 but nothing confirmed yet with Sailor's Tours 50$ each if there are 4 people. http://www.sailortours.com/day.html

We have not agreed any details just booked an island tour. They have quoted 160$ for 2 but would need to clarify how much 4 would be. http://www.alibaba-tours.com/

I also have the e-mails they have written to me.

Anyway let me know if you are interested in any of them.
