Decorating your door and balcony?

Today I picked up two very, very inexpensive windsocks in the shape of tropical fish. They were only $1 each, so what the heck? I'll hang them on the outside of our balcony in port so we can find our cabin! Now, probably we'll be in the docks the wrong way.....

We did the halloween cruise on the Century last year. I found a witch made out of nylon. It rolled up for the luggage and unpacked to it true form. Using a christmas wreath holder (it slips over the door) I was able to hang the witch on the door. Everyone loved it and all I had to do was mention the witch and thay knew tha cabin.... Don ºoº

WOW -- The idea's just don't stop! Now if I have a 6 foot inflatable palm tree, a windsock, a flag, lights -- is it going over the top to try to get a 3ft by 6 ft Happy 40th Birthday banner?

My 77 year old mother is taking my sister and I on a cruise this year. It is to be a special family time together. (Dad passed away 4 yrs. ago.) This is her first cruise ever, and I know she would be thrilled to no end to have something done up for her. There is no place on the personalizer for a "We love you Mom," so how could I go about setting something up?

stupid question I'm sure but how do you attach all this stuff? like flags from the balcony or lights and where do you plug it in?

We hung our Ohio State flag with duct tape on the inside of the glass right below the balcony railing. As for lights, you can run an extension cord from the railing to the plug which is near the desk, close to the sliding glass door. Makes it fun to be able to identify your balcony when your in port.

 

We talked to someone who had a large banner on their balcony and they said they got it done at Kinko's.

Sorry to take so long. No Flower Factory is in Columbus it is for tax exempt or with a vendor licence. If you know someone or if you have a vendor licence or tax exempt it is great. Worth the vendor licence for all the craft items. They have one in Canton and I love going there. Have to plan early for the holiday yo want to decorate for they sell out of items quickly but are reasonable. I figured from the address you were in the Columbus area. Bye Debbie

Thanks for idea about taking a surge protector cord. We are always short on outlets. With me and hot rollers and hair dryers. Of course willhave to charge camera battery. Do you know a Alice and Dennis who lived in Livonia for years and moved toBrighton a few ywars ago. She is a dear old frined of mine from years ago.

On my last two cruises, I decorated my door with Georgia Bulldog magnet stuff. It's great to show your team spirit! But on the Grand, it got stolen, probably by the Florida Gators down the hall!

 

It makes it really easy to find your room if your door is decorated.
