Cirque Dreams Advance Booking with SDP

Hello all. Forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but after much searching, I could not find it. We have a SDP for our July Breakaway cruise. We did not see Cirque Dreams last cruise because we did not feel it would've been worth the money as we've seen cirque shows before. This time, though, we'd like to see it using our SDP, as the $15 upcharge should certainly be worth it! Does the NCL website have the capability to do that booking in advance and only charge the upcharge, or is it necessary to call, or is if not even possible to book it in advance with the SDP? Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

Keep in mind that the Cirque show will use up one of your SDP meal credits, so you aren't only paying the $15 (+ 18%) upcharge. You are also giving up the chance to eat at another specialty restaurant for free on another night.

It used to be that it worked out to be _more expensive_ to use the SDP for Cirque (back when premium seats were only $30) but now that they have raised the price to $39.99 it is marginally cheaper. But you will still get better value using the SDP at Cagney's or Teppanyaki (or Le Bistro if you order premium selections).

Yep I've also done this- when you select Cirque it will automatically give you the SDP pricing (as long as you have a 'credit' of your SDP left)

Yes you can do this with the option to select the standard or premium seating. I've already done this for our January Epic sailing.

Thank you both for confirming this!

Thanks! We actually realized this. We have 4 nights, and we'll definitely do Le Bistro and Cagney's, but we figure we might as well see the show, too, as at least it is something new for us. Teppanyaki didn't wow us, as hibachi restaurants abound on Long Island, we've never really wanted to bother with La Cucina as we are Italian and snobby about our Italian food :p and Moderno depends on our mood. It's really just too much meat for us most of the time. So, unless we feel like visiting Moderno, we'll end up at Le Bistro or Cagney's twice, anyway, even if we do Cirque. Plus, it's our first 9-night cruise, so it's another option for entertainment, as well :D
