Ex techie Posted January 16, 2016 #26 Share Posted January 16, 2016 I wonder how much cross talk was happening before they figured out it was coming from the other ships. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk I would think they knew it was going to happen so not a surprise to the few crew that carry radios instead of Wave Phones now.. It isn't the first time two DCL ships have been alongside together by a long shot. Still cool though! ex techie
Ex techie Posted January 16, 2016 #27 Share Posted January 16, 2016 When you think about it Arthur, it's not that dissimilar to two or more coast guard ships sailing alongside each other. Each ship CG or DCL would have separate frequencies along with shared ones. (unless the coast guard use digitally encrypted frequencies, but I think that is unlikely). ex techie
Tonka's Skipper Posted January 16, 2016 #28 Share Posted January 16, 2016 Great photo! And a once in a very very rare blue moon experience! Shame the Magic seems to be burning a lot more dirty than her sister behind her. I'm sure DCL got some pictures, but will release them without the exhaust smoke! ex techie HI Techie, That *PUFF* of smoke indicates she could be also just changing RPM/speed up or down. In doesn't look like a steady stream of smoke trail which would a fix RPM/speed. AKK AKK
