gxchan Posted October 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I tried to book either the one-day or two-day cruise out of SF for this month yesterday and NCL said both were completely booked. Sorry.

marilynbn Posted October 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2005 Availability on all 3 of these cruises changes hourly, I am serious. So for anyone who feels they have missed the boat...keep trying ! Marilyn
Brucemcdou Posted October 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2005 Hi, Melissa - right now the NCL website is showing availability in several cabin categories up to BA balconies for the one-night cruise. There's none showing for the two-night cruise the following weekend. The one-night cruise was added at the last minute as NCL is shortening a drydock for the ship that was supposed to have gone another week. Hence the last-minute nature of the cruise. What a nice present to take your Mother along as an introduction to cruising!
beckers Posted October 6, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2005 There were 15 OV cabins late this afternoon for 155.00. I wish I lived in SFO I would be on this ship in a heartbeat. It does change hourly.

norcalgal Posted October 7, 2005 #8 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Yeah - I'm thinking about what to do in that one day too.....hmmmm...casino? spa treatments? hottub? read a book? Actually, I was wondering if they'll have any activities for us to sign up for. I've never been on a ship that has a "day at sea". And well, since all we have is a day at sea - it's got me wondering. Wine tasting - or chef demonstrations?
ayalond Posted October 7, 2005 #9 Share Posted October 7, 2005 hello where can i get info on cruises like that? where r they going from? thanks!
cali-croozer Posted October 7, 2005 #10 Share Posted October 7, 2005 I saw the advertisement in the newspaper (SF Chronicle) last Thursday. The 5 day sounded great (and cheap!--less than $300!), but I didn't jump on it, and by the next day it was sold out. :( It would have been a great way to try out another cruise line (I've only sailed on Carnival). PS.......about that one day cruise, if I remember right, they are advertising it as a dinner/dance cruise. It leaves in the evening and returns early the next morning. To be able to have a true day at sea, you'd have to book the 2 day cruise. Although a day at sea, off of SF, would be cold, I think. Indoor relaxing/activities for sure. marilynbn Posted October 7, 2005 #11 Share Posted October 7, 2005 Cali-croozer- Today there has been availability for both the 1 and 5 day. Every day it changes throughout the day...keep checking if you still want one of these. Who knows the 2 day may even show availability tomorrow! It's CRAZY and WACKY too! But I have noticed that each day they come back up they are a little more expensive. Marilyn :)

I went back and checked, and, like you said there were some cabins available, and a little more expensive too;) . Well, as tempting as it is, we decided we'll just have to wait until the kids are older and off to college to be able to take advantage of something like this. I'm too much of a worrier to leave them at home even though my parents live close. They are in high school, so, hopefully, in a few years I'll come across a deal like this again.
