djpk2003 Posted January 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Tell me all about it. I have read the info from the NCL website, but would love to hear about your personal family experiences. We will be traveling with our 2 kids, ages 8 & 9, as well as my nephews who range in age from 10 - 15. Specifically, did your kids REALLY enjoy it? What did they have to say about it? Will they get bored? While I'm excited to have plenty of family time on the ship and experience things with my kiddos, I'm also looking forward to the opportunity for adult time while the kids are (hopefully) also enjoying themselves doing kid stuff. TIA!
gikkeroo Posted January 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Great questions, thanks for asking. We're travelling with boys, 6.5 and 4.5, in March and I was wondering the same! ... following....:o
geegee1 Posted January 14, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2016 Last time on the Gem my oldest was 5 and really enjoyed it. Both of them have really enjoyed it the last two times on Breakaway. If they knew we were going on this next cruise they would be excited again. It's a great way for them to play with other kids their own age. Except for a few occasions, they always ask to go back. And their balking about going back usually last a few minutes.
3XX1XY Posted January 18, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2016 My kids do not enjoy it, but put up with it because hanging out at a bar with mom and dad is boring. It's no different than summer camp.
