Have any of you done the Captain Alan Three Island Snorkel Tour? If so, how rough was boat trip out to tintamare and how long was it? This excursion sounds great and gets great reviews - just a little worried about how rough and how much the boat will pound. Also - how was the snorkeling on the trip? Thanks!

Captain Alan provides a very nice snorkel excursion. How rough it is - particularly how rough coming out of Oyster Pond - depends on the sea conditions. It can be rough or it can be smooth. Just depends. I think it is about 20-25 minutes over to Tintamarre - it is about a 5 mile trip. It can be rough getting to Tintamarre on any of the excursion boats - again, it just depends on what the sea is doing.

Did Captain Alan's this past November. We did the tour where lunch was included. The water was very rough and rained off and on part of the day. We dove with the turtles, then off to a snorkel near a reef ( lots of colorful fish and coral) and then to Pinnel island for about 1 hour. Our guide was very insightful and had our best interest in mind. With the turtles, it is more in a cove are with other tour boats.
