They do not charge for soda at Palo. That is a for sure. Frankly, if they did, we probably wouldn't go as my cruising mate would have a fit.

Dined at Palo just a few days ago and no, there is no charge for soda at either brunch or dinner.

Brunch is a great opportunity for a very picky eater. There are lots of familiar foods to pick from. There's also the perfect opportunity to try some different things since it doesn't cost any more and you aren't forced to eat everything on your plate.

 

Palo Brunch is only served on sea days so it can be difficult to get reservations ahead of time. However, once on board you can go to the designated location (specified in the Navigator) when you board and have a pretty good chance of getting a reservation.

It is certainly harder on a 4 night cruise than on a longer cruise. As above, brunch is served on sea days or late docking days (where the morning counts as a sea day). That means that on a 4 night cruise, there is typically one sea day and lots of people wanting reservations. As above, if you can't get them on line in advance, go to the location noted for "Palo Reservations" as soon as you board and try again.

 

There is a wide variety of food on the buffet...should be fine for picky eaters.

Let me put it this way...I haven't been on a cruise since July of 2004. It was a Disney Magic 7 day. I still think about that brunch and booked another one for our Dream cruise March 28 as soon as I could!
