Time Zone for Bahamas Cruising from Galveston

My itinerary from Carnival says we will be in Nassau 7am - 5pm. I know the Bahamas are on Eastern time zone. Will the ship stay on Central Time as we are going out of Galveston? Are we really in port 6am - 4pm island time? Thanks for the help! I'm trying to see if a day pass at Sandals is worth it if I can't go until 10am.

On the Dream from New Orleans in 2014 ship time did not change. We were on the beach at 11am and left around 3 at the British Colonial Hilton.

Nassau will be an hour ahead, not an hour behind.

Everything stays on ship time, which coincides with the port the ship originally left. You will stay on central time.
