mnlovesdisney Posted January 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2016 We just booked a cruise on Carnival Magic in cabin 7203, which is an obstructed view cabin on the Empress Deck. I was just wondering if anyone has stayed in this cabin or one similar and any reviews they would have on it. I am particularly interested in how much traffic the public deck outside gets and if privacy and/or noise may become and issue. Thanks for any info you can offer. forwardcabin Posted January 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2016 The obstruction is the solid railing preventing you from seeing beyond it to the water ahead. Privacy becomes an issue when people walking by outside your window try to see into your cabin. You should definitely keep the window covered at night--it is a public walkway. nwo4life Posted January 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2016 There is little traffic out there. You will see a few people out there coming into and leaving ports.
utopiagal Posted January 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) We just had a Junior Suite (9205) on deck 9 on the Magic. Noise was never a problem. When people were using the observation decks all the way forward...privacy was a bit of an issue. When we were sitting on our balcony people would be just as surprised to see us...as we were to see them. There isn't too much traffic because it is so windy at the front. Mostly people come to take pictures when pulling in or out of port. People do try to see inside your cabin. They are just curious. Not really a problem. Just remember to close drapes at night or you might get a show when people think they are alone!
