wingnt68 Posted January 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2016 I have never sailed out of New Orleans before and I am looking at flights. Is it possible to make an 11:17 flight out of New Orleans?
kenb Posted January 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2016 11:17AM is a bit early. Most cruise lines will say after 12:00. Remember that you can get delayed due to customs or some other issue that is not the cruise line is not responsible for. My flight is at 12:15 out of New Orleans and I am still a bit anxious. terryinal Posted March 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I think the Dream got in around 7 the last time and the Elation got in around 8. I don't think you will have a problem but anythink can happen. I'm Diamon and in the first ten or so to get off
jacksmycat Posted March 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I had a flight at 11:20, but got nervous and changed it. I would've made it in plenty of time, but instead my mom and I went to the zoo. We had no delays, but I changed it just in case.
VideoTech Posted March 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I have never sailed out of New Orleans before and I am looking at flights. Is it possible to make an 11:17 flight out of New Orleans? Although I normally suggest flights after 12 noon, I would say that you can most likely make an 11:17 am flight. As always, the usual considerations apply: assuming there's no delay in docking or in clearing the ship for disembarkation. The airport is 25 to 30 minutes from the pier. I would suggest being one of the first off the ship, and if you can carry off your own bags, so much the better. There are always plenty of taxis waiting at the pier. I have seen very long lines at the New Orleans airport to check bags on Cruise ship days, and long lines for security at some of the terminals. You will help yourself out if you've already gotten your boarding passes via phone or internet, and if you have TSA Pre Check.
