Carnival Bottled Water

I live 20 minutes from Morganton and that water does actually come from a spring believe it or not,

 

But what does that prove? There is nothing magical about "spring" water. A spring is just a place where the water table intersects the ground surface, so the ground water pours out.

 

The quality of the water is no better than the quality of the water in the same aquifer when it's removed by a well. In fact, it could be worse if the spring water is picking up contamination at the surface. Though that wouldn't be the situation in the case of a company bottling water from a spring. That water is presumably clean.

Maybe my taste buds are numb but I can't tell the difference between one bottled water and the next. Tap water that is a different story.
