CAVE TUBING & ALTUN HA MAYAN RUINS - Time for both?

Hi, will be on Carnival Freedom and wondering if we would have time to do both of these? I inquired about a private excursion which get's great reviews but just wanted to make sure we really had the time required for both. Not sure how apart they are. I want to do the cave tour and my son wants to do the ruins so it would solve our dilemma. Thoughts? Has anyone done this before?

How long are you in port? We did this tour with cavetubing.bz last April and had more than enough time. It was a great day!

 

Email Vitalino through his website and ask him if your ship will be in port long enough to do this tour.

My initial thought is it would be tight. I myself would probably not do it, having been to both places.

I would pick 1 of those. We booked the combo tour, and we were in port 1 hour longer than some other ships. By the time we tendered (1st tender, had FTTF), the guide said we would not have time to do both and that we would be cave tubing. Since we didn't want to miss the ship, we did the cave tubing. It was fun. (They charged us $5 more than it said on their website, as if we hadn't booked in advance, but we didn't realize this until later.) We still had a really great time, so now we have booked another cruise to see the ruins! We will do ruins with the ship, and I never book ship tours, because it is just so far out and I don't want another repeat, telling me the plans have changed. We booked with Vitalino Reyes, and we still had a very good time and great guides.
