Barbados Airport

We fly to Barbados on Friday to join the Azura. The weather forecast is for rain. Can anyone please tell me if once one leaves the plane do you still have to walk some way over the tarmac to board the coaches?

Yes you do but the coaches are usually very near - less than 2 minutes walk I think. We have often left Barbados in pouring rain but it's never been raining when we arrived.

You may have to wait a few minutes on the tarmac as they fill up the coaches, but even if it rains it will be a lot warmer than it is here! You could put a brolly in your hand luggage.

 

We got soaked once in Rome just walking from the check in terminal(tent) to the ship.

 

It does seem to rain quite a lot in Barbados.We have had rain on arrival or departure on every one of the four cruises we embarked from there.

I looked at the weather for weeks before I left for Azuras Xmas cruise and EVERY island was rain rain rain....I was gutted! But when we got there it was Beautiful! Had 1 and a half dodgy days I'm not sure what the forecasters see!

You will often find that the Caribbean weather forecasts say rain like it did for our cruise quite a few of the days :) we had less than two hours of rain in the entire cruise, most of the islands will have occasional showers as they are tropical climates . It is only a short walk from the area where the P&O planes park to the buses
