Shore Excursion OBC

Morning, our cruise in April was booked under a promo that provided $76 OBC to be used for shore excursions. On board is there anyway to enforce that it must be used for excursions? I would really like to book ahead of time to guarantee a spot on the tour, which would leave to OBC for something else. Cheers

I've not seen any kind of OBC that was restricted to certain types of spending.

The only restriction on OBC that I've heard of is refundable vs. non-refundable OBC, should you have any left over at the end of your cruise. Any refundable amount owed to you can be obtained at Guest Services on the last full day of the cruise.

 

A non-refundable amount can possibly be extracted via the casino as a slot machine voucher that can subsequently be cashed out via a machine, but I am not sure if they will only do this in "round-number" denominations (e.g. increments of $5.00 or $10.00, for example).

Yep that was the deal, I would really like to book via the cruise planner and just apply the OBC to normal credit, Im just not sure how its going to work in their system. It looks like this version of restricted OBC is rare for RCCL.
