missdaisy Posted February 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2016 Any don't miss meals on Carnival? I have the good fortune of sailing a seven day on Glory with my daughter, then a Journey with DH on Sunshine. I'm gaining weight just reading menus! nwo4life Posted February 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2016 You should go to the steakhouse, anything in the MDR can be missed.

I have the good fortune of sailing a seven day on Glory with my daughter, then a Journey with DH on Sunshine. I'm gaining weight just reading menus! Don't miss Sea Day Brunch....steak and eggs. And feel free to order the mac n cheese as a side even though it shows on the menu as an entrée. Carnival's mac n cheese is awesome. The "steak" in steak and eggs is filet. Have a great cruise! lizardhowson Posted February 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2016 ...anything in the MDR can be missed. On Valor 2 weeks ago, I found the food disappointing. Best part of dinner in dining room was service. I agree with above comment.

amyh13 Posted February 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) It depends on how adventurous you are. I try to eat things I won't make for myself, can't get at home, or won't eat because I watch my diet. . Love things like escargot, duck, interesting soups, fish n chips, made to order pizza and desserts. Edited February 3, 2016 by amyh13

JawjaFatBoy Posted February 3, 2016 #12 Share Posted February 3, 2016 (edited) The Steak and eggs is an excellent dish. Gotta agree! Fantastic dish every time I've had it! Also make it a point to never miss the Chateaubriand in the dining room. It has been most excellent. angela12345 Posted February 3, 2016 #13 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Love love love the escargot. It's like $12.95 anywhere at home. We get 3 orders ... One for me, one for he, one for we. :) I found everything in the MDR from decent to very good. How much weight can you lose between now and then ? You can easily gain it all back !!! We did also love Guys especially the fries. And also the burritos were yummy.

Jehaams Posted February 3, 2016 #15 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I would recommend checking out the Port of Call section on the MDR menu. Sometimes those offerings are very good. On our most recent cruise for the Puerto Rico port of call the Pescado Asada was delicious. It was honestly the best dish I've ever had on a cruise. funinthesun1964 Posted February 3, 2016 #20 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Everyone has different tastes, but I like the vegetarian dishes. Love the pasta, and the yam, cheddar, -something else bake (it's like a pot pie), and usually get the Indian vegetarian once on every cruise. I cannot wait for my next cruise to get this food. antique sailor Posted February 3, 2016 #21 Share Posted February 3, 2016 AHOY SHIPMATES BEST MEAL on any Carnival ship is the MONGOLIAN WOK on LIDO at noon. AT SEA DAY FOR BREAKFAST IT IS THE HUEVOS RANCHEROS IN THE DINING ROOM(extra over easy egg on top) Little known fact: best desert is the BLACK FOREST GATEAU only served on the first night of the cruise. MOST people do not know this because they dont know what it is. TRY IT . It is better than the Chocolate melting cake which is served every night and pretty good IF ala mode ( JUST THE OPINION OF A RETIRED CHEF) SEA YA
BellaSweet Posted February 3, 2016 #22 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I really enjoyed all the chilled soups..I'm actually looking forward to them!

cruising maniac Posted February 3, 2016 #24 Share Posted February 3, 2016 Anything I didn't have to cook or clean up after is fantastic to me. With that being said, I really like the Guys burgers and most items on the SeaDay Brunch. And the specialty steakhouse food is really delicious. guxu Posted February 3, 2016 #25 Share Posted February 3, 2016 I would push fish n chips to the end of the list. It is always soaked with oil with so-so taste.
