dig21 Posted October 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2005 We are thinking of booking a sail & snorkel excursion thru Princess in Ocho Rios. I was wondering if anyone who has done this or a similar excursion while in Ocho Rios could give me a little info about it. How is the snorkeling? Snorkelcat Posted October 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2005 I too will be in Ocho Rios and do not want to go to Dunn's Falls and the beach attached to it, as there will be sooooo many people there. I'd like to go to a beach not too far out of town that is good for lazin' in the sun and some shore snorkeling. Can anyone offer suggestions for shore snorkeling....or do you have to go on an excursion like the original poster asked? Thanks.
twinkletoes4445 Posted October 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2005 When we were there, we saw a lot of snorkelers near the dock area. It looked like there was a reef area not to far from the pier. I'm not sure how or who they booked with, but just thought I'd mention we saw the snorkelers. Grayce Posted October 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2005 We were on a Royal Carribean cruise in August. We booked a snorkel tour through the ship and met the boat right at the dock. We went about 3 minutes out into the bay and snorkeled fairly close to the cruise ship. The snorkeling was so-so.
