Snorkeling Ocho Rios?

We are thinking of booking a sail & snorkel excursion thru Princess in Ocho Rios. I was wondering if anyone who has done this or a similar excursion while in Ocho Rios could give me a little info about it. How is the snorkeling?

Thanks

I too will be in Ocho Rios and do not want to go to Dunn's Falls and the beach attached to it, as there will be sooooo many people there.

I'd like to go to a beach not too far out of town that is good for lazin' in the sun and some shore snorkeling.

Can anyone offer suggestions for shore snorkeling....or do you have to go on an excursion like the original poster asked?

Thanks.

We were on a Royal Carribean cruise in August. We booked a snorkel tour through the ship and met the boat right at the dock. We went about 3 minutes out into the bay and snorkeled fairly close to the cruise ship. The snorkeling was so-so.
