Hotels in Sydney & Perth before sailing

Was looking for hotels near the port in both of these cities. Looking for a reasonable priced one not to far away from the port. Thanks for any help. Will be sailing in March.

Esplanade in Perth and Intercontinental in Sydney.

No idea re Sydney, but Esplanade in Fremantle sounds okay. I'd recommend Googling for hotels in Fremantle. If you stay at a hotel in Perth it's a 30 minute train trip to Freo.

Holiday Inn Old Sydney. Right in the heart of The Rocks, a hop, skip and jump from the cruise terminal. If you book a harbour view room you get to see the comings and goings of Circular Quay. Not the flashest hotel in the area and you are not up high enough to have the spectacular view of the Harbour that some of the flashier hotels have, but it is clean, tidy and absolutely central.

 

Always stay there when we cruise out of Sydney.

 

Also as others have said the Esplanade in Fremantle, however you will need transport to the ship as it is not suitcase walking distance. There are no hotels next to the port.

I stay at the Hotel Formula 1 (now called ibis budget) at Sydney Airport - about $100 per night for the room. Very basic room but clean and walking distance to the domestic airport.
