As near as I can tell from the Carnival website, they differ in name only. I've only seen the Capitano, on the Sunshine.

Off topic, so apologies, but wonder how you enjoyed Valor. I am considering either 8 day Valor or 7 day Magic in Sept. I like Valor's size and price, but like Magic's amenities and deck plan.

 

Any info is appreciated.

What is the difference between pizza pirate and pizzeria del capitano?

 

We had the pizzeria del capitano on the Sunshine. That pizza was better than any other pizza I have eaten on a ship.

It's Cucina del Capitano. It's a pasta kitchen. Free at lunch. You order your own choice of pasta, sauce extras. No pizza. At night it's a per person charge of $15 and choice of courses.

 

Pizza Pirate is separate place.

The Magic currently has Cucina del Capitano, but the thread was about drydock updates.

 

The Magic currently has Pizza Pirate, and it is changing (FWIW) to Pizzeria del Capitano.

 

At that point, Magic will have both Cucina del Capitano and Pizzeria del Capitano.

She has the oceanside BBQ which has a totally different menu

 

will be getting Fat jimmy's which has more of the traditional meats of a bbq

hey. I am from jax also. The valor was so so.i am sailing the magic in september and think it will far surpass the valor. Getting all of the awesome upgrades as we type too !
