Love your review and all the pics! Especially those night shots in Curacao! We'll be on the Valor in July and going to Aruba (our late arrival port), Curacao, and Grand Turk... glad to get a taste of each of them in your posts! Looks like a fabulous time was had by all!

Here it is, many months have passed and now that I am at my last day of this review I feel the same way I did on the boat. I knew my time was coming near and I was dreading the end. Nevertheless we made the best of our last day on board. Got up early for my last sunrise and then picked up the little one for Seuss At Sea Breakfast. Mama relaxed in the room and ordered some room service.

Mama met up with us on top after breakfast and we just walked around taking it all in while getting some family photos.

After a short while of that, the lil one needed her last dose of Camp Carnival. We dropped her off and continued on our quest to see the rest of the boat we had not seen all week.

We saw several ships all around us. Everyone was on their way back to the mainland. Back To Life - Back To Reality.

There were several of these little guys sailing in the channel off of Cuba. Many speculated as to who/what they were and/or what they were doing out there.

Lunch was upon us and we had one more special trip to the Italian spot for some of their free pasta. I really enjoyed that place. The service left something to be desired, but the food made me keep going back. We picked up the little one to head to lunch. She was so excited. I don't know what they do in there, but if you have kids I highly recommend you give it a shot.

After lunch we headed back to the Lido and saw this event going on. Not sure what it was but a few from my family group were participating.

A little bit later it was time for the main event. "The Iron Bowl" RTR!!!

We headed down to the Redfrog Pub to watch the game.

The little one was not into the game this day and the team was in a good positions so we left around half time to do some more of her stuff. ARCADE!!! This was her last hoorah before we cashed out for the week. I know how much we spent in there and let me tell you the price per unit on those rubber ducks was astronomical.

We did not take many pics at dinner this night for what ever reason, but we did one last pic of Gee!

After dinner the girls went photo shopping, and I headed to the room to pack up. Mama and I have very different packing styles, so either she does it or I do it. Never both!

Aint she a cutie Pie!

I met back up with the group just in time to see the damage that was done to the account from picture purchases. I just said to myself we are on vacation, it's a racket, it's just money. The pics were very nice. We did get three free pics from the Wall of Fame as a family. I recommend you check this wall after dinner each night. Free is Me!

Given we had many many miles to drive the next day and it was a holiday weekend, we all turned in early this evening to ensure we were well rested. I made one last trip up to Lido and it appeared most everyone had the same idea.

The next morning we got up and headed out to pick up the duty free items Carnival was holding for me. Then we had to go back to the photo shop to pick up prints that Mama special ordered. The family pretty much wished each other well the night before, so we did not have any special meeting place to huddle up before disembarkation. We did run into several members who were also picking up items that morning.

All loaded down with no place to go.

One last visit to my watering hole.

Most public areas were jammed with people. We found a quiet spot in the Library Bar to wait on our zone to be called.

Now if you remembered I parked offsite and whereas I was not totally disappointed with the experience I wasn't exactly enamored. Well they got it right when it was time to pick us up. There was something like 10 ships in port this day. The driver told me they were geared up for the chaos on our return, but I did not expect this. Right outside our terminal was a full sized charter bus waiting to take me to my car. I was expecting the passenger van that dropped us off.

Then I get to my car and find this!!!!!

Not a big deal as they had the key to move it out of my was, but it did take about 15 minutes for them to clear the path. Those ladies that were next to me were not as passive as I was. I had just gotten off 8 days of paradise, was mentally prepared for my drive home, and just did not care too much to get upset. This did solidify the fact that I would just park at the port next time though.

Too much stuff - But we did use about 90% of it. Had I been taking a plane it would have been a problem, but since we were driving and they do not charge for freight it was okay.

This trip was one for the ages and I was glad that the family enjoyed it as much as they did.

The ship had everything we needed and then some. There was always something for us to do and/or see. We did not experience much over crowding, but we tended to do our own thing and stay away from the more heavily used areas during peak times. Overall, there were several things that happened on the boat that we did not even get to experience because we were doing other things.

The only two thing I wish they would do differently were:

1. Add more ventilation to the Casino to help with the smoke. I am not anti-smoking but it did get too heavy at some points.

2. The seaside BBQ was more like a seaside Grill. No smoke and too fancy. I am a old school southern boy and BBQ means one thing to me. I am interested to see what changes now that Guy is running the place.

These were small in my mind and would not deter me from going again. I would like to go back for the 6 day before it repositions, but I am already booked on the Vista and 2 cruises in a year are not in the books right now.

Thanks to all those who followed this post. I will do another one after the Vista cruise.

thanks for an amazing review and great pics. We just got off Disney and are between that and Vista for 2017 Spring Break, I think Carnival will have more to offer for my 16 year old son. I love your comment, " it's a racket, it's just money" that's how we feel when on vacation too, and we are by no means rich, just mellow and enjoy our once a year vacation. Thanks again and look forward to your review next year!
