nerds2go Posted February 7, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2016 We will be in docking in Toulon on Monday, April 25. We have a private excursion arranged that give us the options of combining several towns. I know we want to go to Cassis to see the Calanques, and also to Le Castellet. We must choose between Aix en Provence or Sanary. I realize that Aix is a much larger town, which we usually like to avoid. We prefer "quaint" to large and modern. This said, would there be any advantages as to the countryside we would see en route to Aix from the port that would justify going there instead of Sanary? I would appreciate any opinions. I am not a big market person but loved the open markets and meandering through the streets and the stores. Although we have not been to sanary, the pictures are reminiscent of Cassis- we loved Cassis and are happy we were able to visit AIX and Cassis. In my opinion, AIX and Cassis since Sanary seems similar to Cassis.
nerds2go Posted February 7, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Thanks so much! That is kind of what I was thinking. I'm glad to hear that there are markets and options to "meander". I love doing that!
