Always redeem your FPs for a statement credit after your cruise, after paying for your cruise and your S&S balance with the Carnival MC for 2x FPs. Don't go for the OBC - you don't get as much bang for your FP "buck" with the OBC.;)

If you do want the OBC...how to you apply it to your account?

 

If you want the OBC, from your account summary page, click "Manage Rewards" (under your FPs total), then click "Start using my FunPoints" in the center of the next screen, then click "Redeem Now" under Onboard Gifts. Then, in the "Category" drop down menu, choose "Fun Ship Onboard Credits". Select the amount option that you want, and click "Redeem Now".

 

ETA: "Keep in mind that you must redeem for onboard gifts at least 15 days in advance of your sailing date."

I had the Barclay Carnival fun points card and switched over to the Barclaycard Arrival Plus. It gives me 2 for 1 every time, plus I received 40,000 points for spending $3000 in the first 3 months. I have received $1150.00 credit so far and am on my way to another $700.00. Had I known we would cruise so much I would have saved for the $1500.00 credit. I use this card for everything and pay it off every month. I wouldn't use any other card. ;)
