SylviaB Posted October 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2005 We'll be going a 12 night cruise soon. On the RCI website it says there will be 2 formal nights, but my cruise docs arrived today and in there it says there will be 3 formal nights on 12 night cruises. 2 or 3 formal nights, that's the question? Tyler80 Posted October 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Follow cruise document information. Pack for 3 formal nights. If there's only two onboard, then you've got an extra outfit. Or pack clothing that you can exchange with other items you've packed to create another look without packing an entirely different outfit.

Alexis Posted October 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Main Dining Room On Jewel Of The Seas 7-night cruises include two formal nights, one smart casual night and four casual nights. 10, 11, and 12-night cruises include three formal nights and three smart casual nights; all other nights are casual. I just copied this off of the RCCL website. When trying to find out how many formal nights, etc. type in for 11 - 14 night cruises and another section will come up for that cruise length, plus each ship is listed. On the RCCL website, go to site search, type in "How many formal nights on a 11- 14 night cruise?) Here is that site: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/search/processSearch.do;jsessionid=0000r35liAYl0o1EBnrMgzjueJs:10ktmer4a?ip_server=prdiphrase-unstruct-new222.dmz.rccl.com%3A200&ip_text=number+of+formal+nights+on+cruises+11+-+14+nights&x=32&y=9 We had three formal nights on an 11 night Empress Cruise in December. Tyler80 Posted October 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2005 In the FAQ sections of www.rccl.com under the dress code section it gives the dinner dress schedule and says "10 to 13-night cruises include two formal nights, two smart casual nights, and six or nine casual nights." Obviously it's a mistake. Take enough clothes to make sure you've got it all covered.
