I don't know your ages or what type of dancing that you are looking for, but the couple that plays in the Ocean Bar before and after dinner are great. He plays a lot of difertent types of music, but does some fantastic latin music (tango, rumba, etc.)

We're in our late 50's.. love ballroom dancing, latin, swing... when you say before and after dinner, does it matter if you have the late 8:30 dining? We found on RCCL that the dancing times were very limited and only lasted about 1/2 hour in any location. Very disappointed... hoping HAL will be much better... thx

You shouldn't have any problem. They play at the following times:

5:00pm - 6:15pm

7:15pm - 8:30pm

9:30pm - 12:30pm

There was a couple on our Zuiderdam cruise who really were into ballroom dancing...the band in the crows nest played pretty much whatever they asked for. They were playing well into the evening.

Dancing on the Zuiderdam is much more available on than on the RCCL ships we have been on. We are in our late 30's and love to dance and have been frustrated on other lines with their lack of pre and post dinner dancing options. Not HAL, always have options and long playing musicians in the lounges.
