Caye Caulker or Altun Ha?

My husband and I are trying to figure out what to do for our Belize stop on our Liberty of the Seas cruise next month. We want to have time to shop in Belize as well as visit Caye Caulker or the ruins. Looking for something that's not too far away and not too expensive as we want to have plenty of time to get back on the ship. I will be 20 weeks pregnant at the time also. Has anyone visited both of these and would have preferred to just spend time at one of these places?

I have been to Caye Caulker twice. Stayed there for a week one of the times. You can shop, eat, drink, and enjoy the beach there all in one stop. They have the Water Taxi that runs over there and it is about a 40-minute taxi ride over there. I believe cruise ships have excursions to there as well but not 100% sure on that.
