I've never felt the need for a tour or excursion when on Cozumel. So easy to do on your own. I usually rent a jeep and see the gorgeous shoreline stopping at some beach clubs for a swim, drinks or snacks. The end up in San Miguel to shop and have a late lunch. Road (there's only one, so you don't get lost) is very good and not alot of traffic. One of my favorite stops is http://www.mrsanchos.com The sampler tray of snacks is very good and enough for two or three and drinks are very good and reasonable.
