Sablerose Posted October 11, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2005 What do you consider "the" rum to get while you're in Grand Cayman? Various? More than one? And how much should we expect to spend per bottle of same? Thanks in advance!!!
daveandmisty Posted October 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2005 Tortuga, good flavor not bad. Montego Bay, cheap and good Bacardi Select, for the price you might as well. It sells for triple back in the states. Appleton, good jamacian rum, for some reason i found it cheaper than in jamacia. Big Black Dick Rum, not so much for the taste but the name, it was about 20 bucks for a liter, i would rather get a liter of appleton for 10 bucks and have the better stuff. But don't just limit to rum, fill up your liquer bar for the year with the good staples like vodka, single malt, and tequilla (best price was in mexico), but cayman was only 1 buck off.
