Holiday Inn Express on SE 17th Street says their complimentary airport shuttles run 24 hours... http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en/hd/fllcc

AmeriSuites only runs until 10pm. I wouldn't worry too much about shuttles though, the SE 17th Street hotels are less than 10 minutes from FLL. Many hotels have discontinued or are now charging for shuttles.

I haven't seen much discussion about Holiday Inn Express & Suites at 1150 W. State Road 84. Any info?

That hotel is new, but State Road 84 is not a very nice area. There isn't very much in the area, and it's not the safest neighborhood to walk around in, particularly at night.

The SE 17th Street area is a safe area that's closer to the airport, and just outside the entrance to Port Everglades. There are many many restaurants, shops, grocery, drug, and liquor stores within easy walking distance of the hotels, as well as the very popular water taxi.

I'm leaning towards Amerisuites on Valuetrip for $75. Everything else is over 100, and for that price I could do a taxi from the airport and to the port with no waiting.

We won't have a car, so I wanted something with a nice free breakfast. I think I'm right Amerisuites has that.

How much do you think I'll pay in taxi fare from airport to hotel and hotel to cruiseport?

Trent, you're such a wealth of information. Thank you.

Yes, AmeriSuites have a free breakfast.

Cab fares have just gone up last month and I'm not completely up on the new fares, but guessing somewhere closer to $15 now from FLL to AmeriSuites - To the port depends on where your ship is docked. Port Everglades is quite large, Princess terminal is closest, the rest are a mile or 2 farther.
