Snorkeling

The first snorkeling excursion I did with my kids was at Goff's Caye. It was our first cruise and we did the excursion through Carnival. My daughter was six and oldest son 10. It was a great introduction to them as you had the option to walk in from shore and there was an awful lot to see right there or to go off of one of the boats they had docked there and took people out a bit further away from the Caye into deeper water.

As this is a tender port, they picked us up right at the ship and the high speed boat ride to the Caye was quite fun for us (rough for some others). On the Caye there was also a small concession stand (I use that term loosely - it is Belize) selling burgers and cold beverages. All in all a very enjoyable excursion even if we did pay a bit extra going through the cruise line.

Not sure what line you will be cruising, but they all seem to offer something similar to this. I don't know about independent operators in Belize, maybe someone else can chime on on that.

Have a great trip!!

Thank you! We still haven't decided what to do. May be a last minute decision when we get off the ship... Would be interesting to do something so spontaneous :-)
