Miami Port Hotel Advice Please?

Any advice on a nice Miami Port Hotel that has reasonable rates and offers shuttle service and possibly a parking package for cruise goers? We are cruising the Valor in March from Miami and I am lost in trying to find a motel that isnt either sold out or has reasonable rates for one night. Thanks.

I went last December and stayed at the Hilton using Priceline. We received a really good rate of $50 for the night. It was very nice, and you could see the ships from our balcony.

Using Priceline you may get the very upscale Hyatt for $40 to $60 per night. No shuttle or parking package. Bid downtown and THREE star. You also may get Doubletree or similar property. Land values in Miami are much too high for free parking, even overnight guests. Kind of like NYC. The people mover is close by.,

Sorry I said it was Hilton, but it was actually Hyatt that we won on Priceline.

We did the same thing...and got the Hyatt...we have no complaints...it was nice, it was in a good location...BUT you couldn't see the cruise ships...that's not because you aren't really close to the pier...its just that your view is blocked by other tall buildings. Anyhow...cab fare from the Hyatt to the pier was like $10...with tip...something like that....it wasn't bad at all....Oh, and you can get a bay view at that hotel...and at least sit out on your balcony and watch the water all night! But Priceline can be a good way to go on this one...just research it a bit...see what you think.

The Holiday Inn on South Beach is nice and cheap, and has a ocean view.

Try www.tripadvisor.com it is a good site for checking out all the different hotels. We have stayed at the Sheraton Biscayne Bay, and will be staying in South Beach at the Park Central in just eight more days. Good luck looking.

I just did priceline...and the results are. Radisson @ Biscayne Bay for $58.00 per night. Not bad...considering the lowest price room is 179.00. It works for me.

I can offer you the advise of where I would not stay......The Days Inn,in Dade county..It is a flea bag hotel,but it has a pool and a shuttle!
