vvnh16a Posted October 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2005 WE have a group of 12 staying pre cruise (EOS Jan 16, 2006) at a hotel near the Miami Airport (South). The hotel has an airport shuttle but does not provide transportation to the port but said they would contact Super Shuttle on our behalf ...expected cost $25 per van and each van holds up to 4-5 people depending upon luggage. QUESTION: Has anyone arranged their own transporation with Super Shuttle or any other organization in Miami to take a group to the port? Is the price negotiable or pre set! rjg41 Posted October 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Did the same thing when we went on Navigator. FYI, REGULAR cabs are the best cost option. They are about $21/cab and hold 5 each. Ask for the van type(not Super Shuttle) as opposed to the sedan type. Hold more luggage. Super Shuttle is about $9-11 per person. Do you happen to be staying at Embassey Suites? If so check with the conceiage(sp?). They know a fellow named Raul who has a very nice 20 passenger bus who transported our 16 people party to the pier. For about $7/ person. You don't have to wait till you get there, you can call them now. Even if you are not staying there call them anyway for Raul's number. We used cabs back to the airport. Plenty there when the ship gets back.
vvnh16a Posted October 13, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Dick/ Carol Thanks for the information...exactly what I was looking for. I assume you are talking about the Embassy Suite by the airport? Super Shuttle at $9-11 per person (and we have 12) is alot more than the $21 per regular taxi for 4-5 people. I figure it should cast some where between $70-80 dollars to move all 12 of us to the port. Rich in N Va
