Exclusive Cozumel Sailing Excursion

Exclusive Cozumel Sailing s listed as one of the Celebrity excursions for our upcoming cruise on the Constellation. I have also found what appears to be this same company online.

 

I am actually looking to possibly book this independently, but can find very little in the way of reviews/background info on this company. And the one review that I have found on Trip Advisor is from a Marcos in Cozumel. Given that the email response I received from the company with pricing info was also from a Marcos - I strongly suspect that the review was posted by the company themselves.

 

And while I understand the need to have reviews to generate interest, it seems a bit underhanded to me and makes me wary of the company as a whole.

 

Has anyone ever signed up for the Celebrity excursion or had any experience directly with this company? (Sorry if this is not a good fit for this forum - but it is offered as a Celebrity excursion and I could not find an 'Excursion' forum. If there is one would you please redirect me?)

Thanks! I did also post on the Caribbean port section... no activity there unfortunately. And not a whole lot my roll call either.

 

I have asked the company to send me their business license information. We will see if they comply. The fact that they asked for a 20% deposit on PayPal makes wonder a bit. Not that I am not willing to make a deposit - but no other private excursion that I have ever booked required this. If there were lots of stellar reviews somewhere online, I would have no problem with this. Cruise line version of the excursion is about $200 more. So I either risk the $200 as a deposit that I may never see again, or spend the $200 to book directly with Celebrity.
