Hvar blue grotto and caves tours

Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations of tour to the grotto caves from Hvar or Split. My husband can only spend a short amount of time in the sun and most of the tours I've seen offered are 6-8 hours. Is it easier to go from Split or Hvar? I know you can hire a private boat, but I was wondering if there were shorter options too.

What is your main port of call, Split or Hvar? You may consider our brand new service - the seaplane from Split to Vis in about 15 minutes. Vis is far away and usually not considered by cruisers. You can stay in cave not more than 7 minutes, do you know that?
