junebug8 Posted March 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2016 I'm looking at booking our POA cruise for next year. We are looking at a larger balcony on Lido deck or there is one (!) balcony on Deck 12 which has all suites. Any thoughts? The balcony on Deck 12 is a bit more forward. I think the choice you need to make is based on what you plan on doing for his cruise and how many you are sailing with and your budget. This is a very port intensive cruise and many have said that they didn't spend as much time in their cabin as they thought they would. If you spend a lot of time in your cabin and have the resources then spring for a suite. I booked a cabin on the 12th floor, mostly because it seemed a little more private, fewer rooms and not as much foot traffic. The other big reason was that there are 4 of us in one room and some suites have a bathroom and 1/2. This is important for 4 sisters traveling together. It was also less expensive than booking 2 balcony rooms for us. I don't mind being forward on a ship but didn't want a front of the ship room because of the wind, our room is on the starboard side. The aft rooms are wonderful and people like those for the view. You might want to read the POA reviews for some more input before making a decision on booking. Have fun in making your plans for your Hawaiian adventure.
