Anthem Review- March 7-19, 2016

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't play the slots onboard with that kind of money input as they are way too tight. I noticed a pattern for the roll call member slot pulls on our cruises over the last few years. Pay out seems to average around two thirds of what is put in. Same happened on the Anthem cruise we just came back from. The pay out was $10 per participant which cost $15 to be part of.

I go mainly for the prizes the casino offers for these roll call tournaments as it is very unlikely the group will come out ahead. I won an extra $20 at blackjack using the match bet coupons I got at that recent cruise slot pull. :D

At least with the table games there is very little the casino can do to improve their take. They already have their dealers hitting their soft 17 hand and have the double 0 on the roulette wheel. They try with offering side bets on the blackjack but it isn't obligatory to play this.

Lol! Tell that to the person that hit the $48,000 jackpot on the slots on our cruise! He might disagree with your payout theory!

From what I was told he was playing $25 - $100 for each pull. Heard he was going through $1,000's every day.

Even when the slot payout ratio is 2/3 of intake some have to win, even big, sometimes or there wouldn't be any incentive to gamble would there. Even through extremely rare such a payout sensationalize the possibility of this happening.

Why don't you ask all the people who lost approximately $72K to generate that payout how they feel about their contributions to the above.

I wonder what the actually cost was to the one who won this it as gaylemh stated.

The Cruise Compass after 11 days of our cruise showed the slots had paid out $350K so I don't disagree that there are payout but at what cost.

Funny thing about gamblers one often hears about their wins, large and small, but rarely about their losses in the casino. :D

You have mentioned many times the fact that you haven't not said where you stood concerning your results in the casino on our cruise and IMO, after this post, the above is why.
