jayscore Posted March 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Just what does this mean? It's vague as described on the CCL site. Thanks in advance!
StolidCruiser Posted March 24, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2016 What it means that if, at the time you book and purchase FTTF, your first choice of dining option (fixed early, fixed late or ATD) is not available and you are waitlisted, you will be given priority on the waitlist of your preferred choice. SadieN Posted March 24, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 24, 2016 FTTF gives priority in dining assignments not nightly front of line privileges. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
figdu Posted March 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 24, 2016 On the Freedom last week, having FTTF did not apply to ATD. It never applies to getting into the dining room. Only for booking options when choosing to eat early, late or ATD.
CruisinHoneymooners Posted March 24, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Does it apply in anyway to priority for specialty dining reservations, or strictly the assigned time in the MDR?
lizardhowson Posted March 24, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Does it apply in anyway to priority for specialty dining reservations, or strictly the assigned time in the MDR? As already stated it ONLY gives priority if you are waitlisted for your choice of early, late or ATD.
figdu Posted March 24, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Does it apply in anyway to priority for specialty dining reservations, or strictly the assigned time in the MDR? Yes it also gives you priority for specialty dining reservations behind Diamond, which are guaranteed, and Platinum which gets first priority then FTTF. HectorAchilleus Posted March 24, 2016 #12 Share Posted March 24, 2016 On the Freedom last week, having FTTF did not apply to ATD. They should make this more clear to FTTF patrons. Back in January we were on a cruise on the Breeze and had ATD. We like to eat early and get a window seat for two, so I would go down about 20 minutes early and get in line. By the time the doors were ready to open, there was a sizable line, with me near the front. About five minutes before the doors would open, a group of six would march to the front of the line, announcing that they had priority seating with what they called "First to the Fun.' They were nice and not rude, but when a gentleman who said that he was diamond and did not even have it, she said that he should have spent $60.00 and he would. I inquired about this at GS, and they said that they were not sure about the policy. Because they were a group of six, we still got our table, and I do not think they were obnoxious or anything, but they were ill-informed (if these boards are correct.) My first FTTF cruise I was 3rd in line for dinner. In front of me was a diamond couple when we were approached by a platinum member that thought she could walk to the front of the line. I ended up eating with the diamonds all week and we laughed about it the entire cruise. Making it more clear would probably be a good thing. Hog Rider Posted March 25, 2016 #14 Share Posted March 25, 2016 FTTF is great. They need to sell more each cruise.

HectorAchilleus Posted March 25, 2016 #16 Share Posted March 25, 2016 FTTF is great. They need to sell more each cruise. I agree, it is great - unless they sell too many and diminish its value. If they offered it to 1/3rd of the passengers it would obviously be worthless.
