disneyfan551 Posted March 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2016 Hi all! I'm wanting to put something on our cabin door, so we can quickly find our room. (Yes, we are used to decorating doors on the Disney ships... :-) ) Does anyone know what the doors are made of on the Dream? Wondering if magnets will work, which is what I usually use... Thanks for your help!! Sailing in 2 weeks!!!

sandi422 Posted March 24, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 24, 2016 I tie a piece of wide ribbon to the suitcase so I can easily identify it on the luggage carousel. I untie that ribbon and tie it to the mailbox outside of the cabin door. Then I remove it on the last morning and tie it back onto the suitcase. 7 cruises. Never had it taken off of the mailbox. Friends use a post-it note on the top corner of the door.
Roadtripster Posted March 24, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 24, 2016 We always decorate our door to some kind of theme for us. Just have a good time doing it and never have a problem with it. Actually, this time on the cruise I think we have narrowed down our theme to be Gilligans Island. Its fun trying to come up with decorating ideas and helps with the countdowning of the days. jamesr3939 Posted March 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2016 I had metal plaques engraved for several us that said "SMITH SUITE". Then I took that sticky putty, I would call it museum putty, but not sure of the exact name. You can get it at any home supply place. I am assuming you could also use the Command Strips two sided tape, but they didn't have it back in the day. We took the plaques on several cruises after that until it got so scratched up you couldn't read it. On the original trip there were ten of us so it made it really easy to find somebodies cabin; since we were all in the same hallway.
PAPERBKWRITER Posted March 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2016 You fooled me. I thought Jim Morrison rose from the dead and appeared in your dream.
