cruisingbajan Posted March 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Hi Guys, If you have OBC (in excess of $300) do you still have to place an initial deposit on your On Board account as per the cruise length guidelines? Thanks in advance.
Clarea Posted March 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Hi Guys, If you have OBC (in excess of $300) do you still have to place an initial deposit on your On Board account as per the cruise length guidelines? Thanks in advance. Royal normally does not require cash upfront. They let you charge up to $500 over your OBC before they require you to pay it down. Clarea Posted March 28, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2016 Thanks Bob. Very helpful...as usual.:) You're welcome! Noticed you are from Barbados. Does Royal let you get on the ship in Barbados, or do you have to fly somewhere?
cruisingbajan Posted March 28, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted March 28, 2016 You're welcome! Noticed you are from Barbados. Does Royal let you get on the ship in Barbados, or do you have to fly somewhere? We have to fly to to get the ship. To date Carnival is the only line that allows folks to board from Barbados. We've been to Barbados at least a half-dozen times and really enjoy the island.

Thanks...glad you enjoy they island. Its not to bad, while it would save us on airfare if we could, we enjoy flying to MIA and FLL and spending a bit of time there pre/post cruise.
