Summit 7-nighter to So. Carribean

I just did the 7 nighter on the Summit with stops at Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maartin and St. Thomas. I have all the daily newsletter things if anyone needs info from them, and I am happy to answer any questions you might have.

How did the ship look and function, in general? I've heard some negatives about rust, worn carpets, general shabbiness, that I hope were fixed in its recent dry dock.

How was the food, especially the main dining room and the buffet?

I just sent you an email requesting copies of the daily newsletters. If for some reason you don't get it let me know here...thanks again for your time with this.

I received your request and attempted to send them to you but the emails were not able to be delivered. Do you have a different email?

Welcome back! We are looking to sail the Summit next year. I did send you an email for the dailies. Thank you for your time!

shepherdqueen - I lost track of who I sent these to. Did you receive them from me? also, so many of them I send out get returned and being labeled as spam I guess.

Let me just preface this by saying that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, but I will say that it was not too obvious to me what was done in dry dock. We were in a concierge cabin on deck 8. Our shower was missing tiles and the shower head was terrible. Flushing of the toilet was a problem every now and then. The balcony was dirty and had dried paint all over it. I definitely saw new carpets as well as worn carpets. I did not notice any rust.

I thought the food was fine. The only negative I can report about the MDR was the salads were a little soggy a few nights. I guess another negative is that the food was never very hot. Could they have a better selection on the menu - sure, but there was always something on there that I liked. I thought the food at the buffet was fabulous. The lines at the "made to order" stations moved very slowly, but that is to be expected. I also found the set up at the buffer very odd.

Still does not work. It is not about the size of the email because I simply tried a TEST email and it was returned.

Uh-0h, I'm in a concierge cabin on deck 8 in a couple of weeks. Can I ask what cabin number you were in?

I believe 8134. but please know that everything was bearable and we enjoyed our trip. I saw a new shower head being installed in another cabin towards the end of the cruise so I guess I should have asked for a new one, but at that point I guess I just got used to it.
