Why do RC charge more for tips if have an ocean view upwards than an interior?

Surely do same amount of work

They only charge more for tips if you have a full suite, which is significantly larger than a standard cabin and includes some additional services.

There's no difference in recommended tips for an Oceanview vs an Interior cabin, or for a balcony - all of those are considered 'standard' staterooms. The higher rate you saw is what's recommended for Suites. Here's what the RC website says:

Effective on cruises departing on or after May 1, 2016, Royal Caribbean will automatically add a $13.50 USD gratuity for standard staterooms, $16.50 USD for Suite guests, to each guest's SeaPass® account on a daily basis.

that is great. they work hard for their tips. and it should say----"ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, FOR ANY REASON, TRY WHAT YOU MAY BUT THEY WILL NOT BE REMOVED"

if you can afford to cruise, you can afford the tips.
