Cabogirl13 Posted April 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2016 We just booked the Vista for April 2017 and we will purchase the Cheers program, but I have a question as to potential changes. If we have purchased it in advance and any changes to program or price happen between now and when we cruise, will the price and package in place when we booked it be honored or will we get a potentially diffent version andotentially higher price? I know they just had changes to the program and since it is a year out til we leave I wonder/worry about other "changes". Would love feedback from the long term Carnival cruisers. cruzelover55 Posted April 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2016 This has come up a lot lately so don't know how many will respond. So, I will answer and if someone else has better info, BOOM, you will get some responses. We paid less in 2014, now it has gone up. As I understand it from other posters showing the actual Carnival answers from the website, even if you prepay, if it goes up or down, it will be adjusted on board. We purchased ahead of time just to save the additional $5 per day per person, that we would be charged if we waited to buy on board. I honestly don't think that the price will increase in the next couple of years. But, I could be wrong. I felt comfortable purchasing ahead.Have a great cruise! RiotAct Posted April 5, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2016 If you've already purchased it, you almost certainly will NOT have to pay additional if they raise the price between now and your cruise. However, you'll be at the mercy of any changes (good or bad) they decide to make to the program betwern now and the embarkation date.
