Booked Restricted VGT And Received CAT 5A

I booked a Verandah Guarantee (with Restrictions) on the Disney Dream for April 15, 2016. I was shocked when my stateroom was assigned today as a Category 5A on deck 10. (I loathe Deck 10, but at least it's under the Quiet Cove area.) I was secretly hoping that they'd give me a Category 4E (my new favorite).

That saved me over $300 on the stateroom, so I'm pretty pleased. I like when the pixie dust is gratuitously applied. I was expecting a Category 7A or an obstructed/undersized balcony.

We've always gotten "good" assignments with *GT bookings. No, these aren't a way to book inferior cabins. While it has never happened to us, there are plenty of reports of people getting a cat 4 with a VGT booking.

Enjoy the pixie dust.

We had a 5A under the Spa last October and loved it! It was by far our most favorite location over 5 cruises. Very quiet, only one flight up to the pool and across the ship to Cabanas, and the forward elevators were rarely crowded.
