Beyoutiful Posted April 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2016 I'm visiting Florence via Livorno/NCL Epic on April 28. In visiting the Duomo website I see that the cathedral is closed that day. This is my first visit to Italy - can someone clarify what I'll miss seeing? The Dome, Museum, Baptistry & Crypt are all open. I'm trying to plan our trip to Florence without a tour so any insight is helpful, thank you in advance!
anthonyy7 Posted April 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2016 The official site says the cathedral is closed but everything else is open including the dome on April 28. I'm not sure why it's closed?! We climbed the dome which I highly recommend. You'll be able to see down inside as you circle around going up the side of the dome inside. It's possible it will be open that day.
