bbnjcruiser Posted April 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) Scenario: My partner and I are in a haven suite with ultimate beverage package, we are traveling with two relatives with a balcony cabin - they also have the ultimate beverage package. I walk up to the bar and order a margarita and a shot for everyone in our party (4 people, 8 drinks total - all party members have UBP) How exactly is this accounting project going to unfold? Based on the stated policy we need to each order drinks one drink at a time, one person at a time and then get back in line to do it again? Producing 8 receipts / transactions with 4 cards? Or does sanity somehow prevail? What if ,my partner is laying on a lounger while I go to the bar to get a drink for each of us? Will they turn me away or only let me have one drink even though we both have the package? Edited April 11, 2016 by bbnjcruiser
LrgPizza Posted April 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) You walk up, you show them the 4 cards that have UBP printed on them. The bartender checks them, smiles, hands them back, then rings in 4 drinks on your card. You carry those 4 drinks back to the table. You walk back, hand him just your card (because the bartender now knows), and he then rings in the next 4 drinks on your card. Gershep Posted April 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2016 As stated in the above post, as long as you have cards with you there will be no problem on how many drinks you can get. If you find a favorite bartender they will remember you without the cards, especially if you tip. One of the bartenders on our last cruise knew who we were with and our preferred drink. Always had them ready for us. He took care of us and we took care of him, lol
tiger-91 Posted April 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2016 The bartender might want to ring in all the shots first and then the margaritas. Always have a card per drink until the bartender says you can bring one. You might also not always get the same bartender so there's that need for four cards too. The friendlier you are with the bartender the more likely he allows one card or shot and drink at the same time. And I don't mean tips. Just a friendly banter. acharris1 Posted April 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 11, 2016 Make sure you wear your Haven Pin! Haven pin? This is our third Haven cruise and I know nothing about a pin, lol. I've probably been missing out.
