Sailaway487 Posted April 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2016 Some bits and pieces now coming through for next weeks launch. They're teasing on the website 16 new ports of call, one very good offer (guessing free AI) and a new home port (probably Newcastle, unless they're got something else also up their sleeves). They usually do a press release with more detailed info at some point this week. Keep checking your inboxes also in case they send out the brochure link before launch like they have done in the past. Jakanne1 Posted April 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2016 I have a booking appointment with my TA on the 21st and was just wondering whether we would have an idea of prices for the ex-Newcastle cruises before I go. The Celebration itineraries from Newcastle have been on FB for a few weeks now.
Sailaway487 Posted April 12, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted April 12, 2016 I wanted to have a look at prices a bit sooner also. Want to know Celebration's fjords cruises and to see Discovery's new itineraries with Rome, as I've done the Rome itinerary it's doing this year. I think the best we're going to get is if they email the brochure out beforehand, although it seems to be a bit random who actually gets the email sometimes. If anyone gets it, please can you post the link on here for us all. :)
Sailaway487 Posted April 13, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Thomson Discovery will now be named as TUI Discovery. Thomson name to start to disappear as of next month. TUI Discovery is also going to be All Inclusive as standard, not too sure if this is effective from this year or next.

Rare Jim The Scot Posted April 14, 2016 #13 Share Posted April 14, 2016 AI as standard must be next year or later this year as still showing a charge for drinks package for June this year As PC says if AI is standard no incentive to book early apart from securing preferred flight/ airport/ cabin Sure AI as standard will be reflected in their pricing

stelin34 Posted April 14, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 14, 2016 Hi I'm sure it says upgraded AI so I'm presuming they mean the £10 pp per day option that's available on the ship. I have been known to be wrong though.

stelin34 Posted April 14, 2016 #17 Share Posted April 14, 2016 I've read the article again and the incentive is definitely the upgraded AI so doing away with the £10 pp per day charge for branded drinks and bottled beers.

okavango Posted April 14, 2016 #19 Share Posted April 14, 2016 I did hear a few weeks ago that all the ships were going to be AI included, so maybe when the full details are released for next year we will have a suprise.
davecttr Posted April 14, 2016 #20 Share Posted April 14, 2016 With upcoming larger and 'better quality' ships I would hope that TUI will position the AI somewhat more upmarket than basic drinks plus the decent stuff attracting a supplement. We don't want a repeat of the platinum episode
Pensioncruiser Posted April 14, 2016 #21 Share Posted April 14, 2016 They still have Drambuie, which just happens to be my tipple. First thing I check on board😀😀
