sailing to Cuba

Does anyone know when RCCL will receive approval from the Cuban government to begin sailing to Cuba? Any idea of which ship they might use?

When approvals come through is totally unknown to all of us. Royal definitely wants Empress there ASAP.

Just hung up phone talking to friend who was in Cuba recently on one of the fly from Miami people to people trips. We were discussing this very topic and in her well traveled opinion, "Havana can't handle a cruise ship as well as air travelers." She said they stayed at a lovely hotel and she had a very interesting time.
