We are on the Valor as we speak. Due to Hurricane Wilma, they changed our itinerary after we were on board. We are now going to San Juan Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Maarten, and Nassau. We have no clue what to do on this itinerary. I have a group of 30 people that are looking to me to plan this trip. I need help fast!!! Let me know what excursions to do in these ports. Also we would like to scuba in at least one port. Thanks in advance for the help

You need to go to the thread for each of your ports (Ports of Call). Start with the first one, do a few minutes of research and go from there. Or if that doesn't help go with the excursions through your ship. You will find plenty to do. But really your best bet is to go to those individual threads.

First off quick email Or call from the ship... godfrey.. in st. thomas..maybe he can take your group or can recommend another reputable group..

When u get to st. maarten.. walk a bit and go to the tour area.. there is a desk.. where vans pull up.. they charge by the person in the vans.. and do tours of both sides. etc.. very reasonable.. they will take you anywhere.. Or just pack your swim things.. and hire a cab to orient beach.. ask for the cabbie to come back at a set time to take you to town to shop.. or to see both sides of the island.

san juan.. not much exciting.. you can take a long walk or cab to see the fort.. and otherwise go shopping..

We enjoyed the Godfrey tour in St. Thomas. For $20 pp you do some shopping, an island tour, and then a couple of hours at a beach of your chioce (we choose Coki, and you can snorkle there):

On St. Maarten we just took the water taxi into town to shop, then caught a local taxi to Orient beach and had a great time. You can rent lounge chairs/beach umbrella for about $14 (for two) and it includes a free drink.

Have fun!

San Juan....Rain Forest/Waterfall trip. Requires some walking. Beautiful

Walk thru old town near the pier

St. Maartin....America's Cup Regatta. Beautiful sail boat trip. Light activity.

St. Thomas....Taxi to Town. Shopping paradise with Lunch at the Greenhouse restaurant.

Nassau....Atlantis Casino and Resort by Taxi or tour. Walk Bay street near the pier for shopping. A drink or lunch at the old Sheraton British Colonial Hotel at the end of Bay Street. Many experienced cruisers stay on board during the stop in Nassau.

OR....Check Port of Call or mob the excursion desk on board. Good Luck

Atlantis in Nassau is something you can do on your own and the aquarium there is supposed to be one of the best in the world...fun for all. Paradise Island also a good choice. I am sailing the same itinerary in December. Using Godfrey in st.thomas and no plans for St. Martin or San Juan. Spending a week in Nassau in Feburary!

What time are you in San Juan?

GOOD LUCK and have a great time regardless!!!!!:)

Do the Dig at Atlantis, $29 a person but if you do be sure to see the outdoor acquariums and interconnecting pools of the acquariums out doors. As long as you have your wrist band on you can go to the outdoor places. Linda

While we were in port at St. Thomas, we took an excursion that took us by ferry (40 minutes or so) to St. John and took an island tour. It was a beautiful island and the tour was terrific. Maybe that would be of interest to your group...

Whatever you do, just keep it fun and lighthearted...your group will have a great time!! :)

We went to orient beach and found this really cool French guy named FABIO! they have a beach office and do diving trips right from there. they arranged a 1:30 afternoon dive for our party. Way way more bottom time than a Carnival excursion dive we did in St Thomas! It was private reasonable priced and safe.

Have fun!!
