RAYJO Posted September 23, 2016 Author #26 Share Posted September 23, 2016 There is Good Harbor Liquors on Main St. When you leave the access road to the tender dock, take a right onto Main St., and the store is less than a .1 mile away on the left. There is the Liquor Locker on Main St. When you leave the access road to the tender dock, take a left onto Main St., and the store is about a ¼ mile on the left. RAYJO Posted October 8, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted October 8, 2016 After all the questions about where the dock is located, restaurants, wine, etc., the Sept 27 10 Day Canada/New England cruise aboard the Zuiderdam, never got into port. It was a tender port and the Captain decided it was too dangerous for the tenders to bring passengers aboard. I agreed. Another sea day.
Suzjoh Posted December 20, 2016 #28 Share Posted December 20, 2016 Just want to chime in. If the weather and the winds cooperate by all means board the tender for shore. Cruise port is our terminal. Sea Port Grille is attached. Good restaurant but there is so much more. The owners of the port and restaurant also own the Beauport Princess a luxury harbor cruise ship you may see docked. If you enjoy history, it's all around you, including the Cape Ann Museum, food and the beauty of our shores, you may not want to miss it. There is a beautiful new hotel. Beauport (yup same owners) if you do nothing, may your way there. Take a left at the Terminal, ( go main st not Rogers where there are shops) maybe 1/2 mile or more or grab a cab. On the 2nd floor, there is an outside bar/food area right on Pavilion beach overlooking the outer harbor, schooners at sail and your ship anchored outside the breakwater. Find a comfy seat order some seafood and a cocktail. The views and the colors especially in the Fall, are breathtaking and make a great selfie. From there walk up to the boulevard and view the fisherman's memorial. If you cross the bridge and keep walking there is Stage Fort Park another beautiful place........google it!
