Dunder Posted April 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2016 I am looking for proven VPN access information on major cruise lines. If you sailed on a major cruise line in the last 6 months (July 2015-now) and used VPN access can you tell us about it here. For instance, Royal Caribbean's website says the new Voom internet services permits VPN. I would take a working cruise if I knew for sure cruisers are using it and happy with the service. Also interested in what the cost was! I use a Citrix VPN so anyone using that would def interest me. I asked this question on the CC Facebook and they suggested I post it here. If I could confirm access I would book - please RCL let me know!
Clarea Posted April 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2016 Microsoft PPTP does not work wth VOOM. Have not tried Citrix.
2016familycruise Posted April 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2016 I know it's not soon, but I'm going in July and have Citrix and can report back. Hopefully someone else can report back before then though.
serialcruiser48 Posted April 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2016 I used VPN on both the Allure (19 days) and Liberty (14 days) and the service seemed to work OK. Of course VPN was much faster on the Allure with Voom. My VPN provider is Witopia.
